Refund Policy

At Essay Fusion we aim for 100% client satisfaction. This Refund Policy explains our approach to refunds, cancellations, late delivery, disputed claims, chargebacks and other payment matters. It is written to be clear, fair, and aligned with common industry practices while protecting both our customers and our writers.

Scope & general principles

  • This Refund Policy applies to purchases of services on essayfusion.com (the “Website”).
  • We act as a platform that connects Clients with Writers. We take responsibility for facilitating order fulfillment and for resolving payment disputes fairly.
  • Only funds you personally paid via supported payment methods are eligible for refund to your original payment method. Promotional credits or bonuses are non-withdrawable and non-refundable (they may be applied to future orders only).

When full refunds are available

You are typically eligible for a full refund in the following situations (subject to review):

  • Duplicate Charge. If you were billed twice for the same order, we will refund the extra charge after verification. Prompt notification and receipts speed up the process.
  • Order Cancelled Before Work Began. If you cancel an order before any work is started, you will receive a full refund (unless otherwise stated in a special offer or pre-paid package).
  • Proven Non-Performance. If we determine after investigation that no work was delivered and the writer did not meet contractual obligations, we will refund the paid amount.

When partial refunds apply

Partial refunds may be issued in cases such as:

  • Late cancellation after writer assignment, to fairly compensate the writer for time and effort, refunds after assignment may be partial (commonly 70%-100% refundable depending on progress).
  • Late delivery, if your order is delivered after the agreed deadline, we will discuss a pro-rated refund or partial credit depending on delay length and the amount of work completed.
  • Customer-used content, if you used the delivered content or a significant part of it (e.g., submitted or integrated into other work), refund amounts may be reduced.

Our Quality Assurance team will investigate disputed cases and recommend a fair refund amount based on evidence, order progress, and the circumstances. Several industry providers follow similar graded refund approaches for cancellations and late delivery.

Quality, originality and disputed claims

If you believe the delivered work does not meet your instructions, or that it contains non-original content, you must submit a dispute request with clear evidence (instructions, rubric, and, when alleging plagiarism, an originality report from a reputable detection tool). Without clear evidence we may be unable to grant a refund.

Our QA team will review the claim, compare the work to your original instructions and supporting materials, and evaluate any plagiarism reports. If a verified originality violation or gross quality failure is found, a full or partial refund will be issued as appropriate. Industry peers require evidence-based disputes for refunds.

Refund request procedure

  • Log into your Essay Fusion account and open the order in question.
  • Click Request Refund / Dispute and complete the online form, include: order ID, reason for refund, supporting files (instructions, rubric, screenshots, plagiarism report if applicable).
  • Our Support & QA teams will acknowledge receipt within 24 business hours and start an investigation.
  • Outcome and refund decisions are communicated by email and in your account. If approved, refunds are processed as described below.

Tip: The faster you provide clear evidence (original instructions, expected outcomes, and screenshots), the faster we can resolve the case.

Refund processing times & method

Once a refund is approved, we typically process it within 3-10 business days. The exact timing depends on your payment provider and bank. We are not responsible for payment network or bank processing delays or fees.

Refunds are returned to the original payment method where possible. We cannot usually reroute refunds to a different card or payment method.

Chargebacks

If you initiate a chargeback with your bank or card issuer instead of following our dispute process, Essay Fusion may suspend access to your account while the chargeback is investigated. Chargeback fees and any costs resulting from the dispute may be charged to you if the chargeback is found unjustified.

To avoid delays, please submit refund requests through our Support & Disputes process first; this generally leads to faster, fairer outcomes for both parties.

Time limits & expiry

Refund requests must be submitted within six (6) months of the original transaction date unless local consumer protection laws provide a longer period. After the refund period expires, we are generally unable to issue a refund.

Non-refundable situations

You are not entitled to a refund for the following (unless otherwise agreed in writing and subject to QA review):

  • Change of mind after you have accepted and used the delivered content.
  • Claim of a lower than expected grade, we do not guarantee grades and cannot refund on the sole basis of receiving a lower grade.
  • Failure to provide necessary materials or timely responses that cause delay or incomplete work.
  • Orders that cannot be verified because they were placed outside the Website, or where the Customer bypassed standard procedures making QA verification impossible.

Promotional offers, credits & bonuses

Promo codes, discounts and bonus credits applied to your order reduce the cash portion you pay. Only the actual cash you paid is refundable; promo discounts and bonus credits themselves have no cash value and are non-refundable.

Account deletion & expired accounts

If your account is inactive for a long period (per our Terms) and is permanently deleted, any unused promotional credits may be forfeited. If you request account deletion while funds remain, contact Support within the deactivation window to request transfer or refund (subject to verification and policy limits).

Payment security & third-party processors

We use reputable third-party payment processors to handle card and online payments. Essay Fusion does not store your full payment card details on our servers. Payment processing is subject to the terms and privacy policies of the payment provider.

Governing law & consumer protections

This Policy is governed by the Terms of Service and applicable local consumer protection laws. Where local law provides greater protection (for example, certain mandatory refunds or extended timeframes), those local rules will apply.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Refund Policy occasionally. We will post changes at https://www.essayfusion.com/refund-policy and notify users of major changes by email or within the Website. The most recent published version is the one that applies.

Q: How long until I see my refunded money?

A: After approval we typically process refunds within 3-10 business days; banks and processors can add additional time.

Q: I was charged twice, what do I do?

A: Send receipts and order details to Support immediately. We will verify and refund any duplicate charge.

Q: I found plagiarism, will I get a refund?

A: Provide a reputable plagiarism report and supporting evidence. If verified, we will refund or rework the order per our QA decision.

Q: What if I don’t like the grade I received?

A: Grades are not guaranteed; refunds are not provided solely because of a lower grade. If the work failed to meet the agreed instructions, submit a dispute with evidence.
